At the Table

On this table, there are two plates with excerpts from real testimonies between two women over 60 years old. A Portuguese woman and a Brazilian woman share the difficulties they had at a particular time in London. One as a tourist while watching a musical show, and the other, a resident for a few years, recounts the experience with her GP.
I intend to demonstrate that art should be more accessible to this group of people from different communities and their families. This installation is a work in progress proposal for a future non-verbal, family and multicultural festival.

The table contains different fabrics from different countries representing some of the communities in the UK. The towel was handmade, and the messages on the dishes are in Portuguese. With the QR code, you can access English translations.
